I'm Mohamed. I started Collar and Crest in 2026 to make choosing gear for your dog simple.
A harness one size too big is a harness he can back out of on a busy road. A bowl at the wrong height has him craning down at every meal. Most of the time, the problem is not the gear. It is buying the wrong one for the dog in front of you.
So we start with the dog
Before anything goes on this site, we work out which dog it is for. How heavy, how big, how he plays, where he eats.
Every product page here has a block near the top called Best for / Not for. It sits above the buy button, not buried under it. Sizes are in centimetres and kilograms, not small, medium and large, so you can see it fits before you order.
We only write what we can stand behind.
Who is behind it
One person, who reads every email.
There is no call centre and no chatbot. If anything you order is not right, you email us and it is us who answers.
The name
A collar is the ordinary thing your dog wears every day of his life.
A crest is what a family puts on its shield — the mark it is willing to stand behind.
That is the whole idea. Everyday things, with somebody's name on them.
About the photos on this site
I sold some of these products in a shop I ran before this one. The photographs of dogs using them came from those owners, and they gave me permission to use them here.
When people who buy from Collar and Crest share photos of their own dogs, we will add them too.
