His first puzzle. He'll solve it in minutes.
Sixteen little wells under sliding lids and spinning covers. Most dogs work it out in three to eight minutes — which is just right for a first puzzle.
Trim your dog's nails first — claws can catch in the slider slots.
A first puzzle, made to be won
A bored dog finds his own work, and it is usually the sofa. A puzzle he can win gives that energy somewhere to go.
| Best for | Puppies and small dogs meeting their first puzzle |
| Not for | Clever adult dogs, chewers, or anyone expecting twenty minutes |
Three things to check before you use it
- Trim his nails. Long nails can catch in the slider slots.
- Check the four rubber foot pads. They can work loose, and a loose rubber pad is something a dog will swallow. Check them before every use.
- Stay in the room. There are small parts in the base. This is a supervised toy, not one to leave him alone with.
What it does
- A first puzzle, on purpose. Easy enough that he wins. A dog who cannot solve his first puzzle stops trying.
- Sixteen wells, three ways in. Sliding lids, lift-off covers and a spinning centre. Three levels on one board.
- Small treats only. The wells hold two or three pieces of kibble. Training treats usually need breaking in half.
- Slows a fast eater. Feeding his meal through it turns thirty seconds of gulping into a few minutes.
- Wipes clean. Moulded PP. Warm soapy water and a cloth — the wells are shallow and easy to reach.

Questions

Three to eight minutes for most dogs. If you want twenty minutes, freeze our lick mat instead.
Is it right for an older dog?
It is made for puppies and small dogs meeting their first puzzle, so he wins early and stays interested.
Is it right for a chewer?
It is made for dogs who work with their nose and paws, not their teeth.
What treats fit?
Kibble, and small training treats. The wells hold two or three pieces. Larger treats need breaking in half.
Will it stay in place?
It has four rubber foot pads. On smooth tile, set it on a mat for extra grip.
Is it dishwasher safe?
Wash it by hand. Warm soapy water and a cloth reaches everything.
